Summer Wine until Summer: Mon Blanc and Mon Rosé, Pandora Winery
With a 45-hectare vineyard located in the heart of Vrancea, in Cotești Vineyard, Crama Pandora is a young boutique winery that creates premium wines for those seeking authenticity. From fresh white wines, aromatic rosé wines, to rich and complex red wines, each label reflects a passion for quality wine.
I heard of this winery in recent years due to the medal-winning wines they had at various competitions and last year I had the opportunity to visit them at the winery.
On this occasion, I tasted their wines for the first time and I decided to look for more of their wines in stores in the future.

Recently, on a sunny day, I had the opportunity to try two of Pandora winery wines, Mon Blanc and Mon Rosé, both belonging to Lifestyle collection, and today I come with a few words about each one.
With Easter approaching, when we will have a choice of wines for our meals with our loved ones, this recommendation comes in hand. According to the forecast, spring weather is here to stay, so it's a good idea to start thinking about white and rosé wine options now.
The wines are presented by the winery under the slogan "Summer Wine until Summer" and, with the winter days barely passed, I was eagerly waiting for spring sunny days, so I enjoyed the 2 wines in the middle of nature and it was great.
Mon Rosé 2023
Mon Rosé 2023 is a wine made from 100% Fetească Neagră grapes. With a salmon pink color, the smell has medium intensity; the aromas: strawberries, wild strawberries, citrus fruits and cherries.
The wine is dry, has a high acidity, is fresh and easy to enjoy. The wine has 12% alcohol, can be enjoyed (the best temperature is 8-10⁰C) as it is, as well as with salads, appetizers, salmon or seafood pasta, cheeses, as well as with various grilled dishes (chicken, turkey).
This wine received the Grand Gold Medal at the VINARIUM International Wine Contest 2024, which makes me happy because I know how well organized this contest is and I know that jurors from all over the world participate in it.
The wine can be found here, on winery's website. Until the new harvest, 2024, comes on the market, you can still find the wine from the 2023 harvest, the one I tried.
Mon Blanc 2023
Made from 50% Șarbă grapes, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, Mon Blanc 2023 harvest is one of the wines with a freshness that surprised me.
The wine is pale yellow in color, the smell is medium intensity and among the aromas are those of pineapple, citrus (lemon), hibiscus flowers, green apples. The wine is dry with an alcohol content of 12.5%, and in taste we distinguish taste of lemon, peach, pineapple, jasmine, green apples (these are felt very intensely). The acidity is high (specific to the Șarbă grape variety, but also to the region where the grapes come from). During the winemaking process, the wine was aged in an oak vessel for 3 weeks.
The wine can be enjoyed as is (best temperature 8-10⁰C), but it goes very well with fish and seafood dishes, sushi, prosciutto, white meat, salads. It is a light wine, suitable for both lunch and family meals, such as Easter, as this holiday is approaching.
This wine was also awarded a Silver Medal at the VINARIUM International Wine Contest 2024.
