Caii de la Letea launched „Inimă de stejar” range
Caii de la Letea launched the „Inimă de stejar” range, the official wine of the Romanian National Rugby team, which you can find exclusively in Kaufland stores.

The range includes 3 blends:

The range includes 3 blends:
- white: Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier 2021
- rose: Fetească Neagră, Syrah, Cabernet Franc 2021
- red: Fetească Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
I had the opportunity to try them all and below you will find a few words about the white blend that I found particularly fresh.
The white blend is made from Chardonnay, Riesling and Viognier grapes from the 2021 harvest and has a lemon yellow color. Citrus notes predominate in the aroma - ripe oranges, joined by peach blossoms, peaches, apricots, pears and even apricot kernels.
The taste is dominated by notes of oranges, a little lemon is added. In the aftertaste you can clearly feel peaches, almonds and peach pits.
The wine is dry, with medium acidity that stands out for its freshness. It is a wine suitable for warm days and can be served at 8-10° Celsius.
The rosé blend made from Fetească Neagră, Syrah and Cabernet Franc grapes (harvest 2021) has a rather dark rosé color and aromas of strawberries, raspberries and cherries. This is a wine that keeps its freshness and can be served at 8-10° Celsius.
The red blend made from Fetească Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (harvest 2020) is distinguished by notes of black cherries, blackberries and plums and at the end a little chocolate is felt in the aftertaste.
