We are a young family of entrepreneurs from Bistrita-Năsăud county, Jelna village, fascinated by wine and wine culture. We do nothing but continue and protect a story, an area and a winemaking spirit that has lain dormant for centuries here in Jelna. The hills where we planted our vines according to several centuries old maps of this wine growing area, were cultivated with vines but the varieties are not specified. Even on the Josephine map made by the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1766, the first map of Transylvania, extensive grapevine plantations appear on the hills of Jelna. We cherish 26 hectares of vines, the average age being 15 years, and the varieties we have are: Sauvignon Blanc, Feteasca Albă, Feteasca regală, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Noir. Our Romanian/Transylvanian values ​​taught us to protect this area, which has so much to say and give, that's why we pushed our limits and built a new winery to the highest standards, a hotel with spa center and gourmet restaurant. All in close partnership with our community. Our doors and hearts are open and waiting for you. Liliac Winery has a small cottage located in the vineyard in the village of Batoș, a short distance from the winery. Cabana Liliac Lodge Batoș is located about 1 km from the winery, on a hilltop, in the middle of the vineyard. The cottage has a tasting room, a small terrace and a single room for accommodation (suitable for 2 people). The room has a bathroom with shower. At Liliac Lodge Batoș you can have a wine tasting accompanied by lunch or dinner or you can organize small outdoor events or in the tent that the hosts provide. Liliac Lodge provides 2 MTB bikes for guests to ride around the vineyard. A cold breakfast is served, and the rest of the meals are served by local restaurants. Liliac Winery keeps alive the heritage of the Transylvanian terroir through its young-spirited wines, reviving the Lechința wine region. Established in 2010, the winery uses modern winemaking techniques that bring out the essence of local grapes, ripe under the gentle Transylvanian sun and hand-picked from the 52-hectare vineyard in the hills of Batoș (Mureș county) and Lechința (Bistrița county).

At the Valea Verde Retreat we have set out to create a true rural retreat that provides our guests with all basic comfort whilst preserving the simple, authentic charme of a Saxon farmhouse in the middle of a breathtaking natural setting. Experience the authentic hospitality of a Transilvanian village, find a „home away from home“ in lovingly restored and tastefully furnished old farmhouses set in a breathtaking natural environment and find out more about he exciting and diverse history and culture of this country! Our family is living and working mainly in Cund since 1994 and for a few years we are restoring dilapidated old farmhouses. We currently offer accommodation in four self-catering farmhouses, two Guesthouses with seven apartments and a small Restaurant at the Valea Verde. We also offer a wide range of special recreational activities: our well educated riding horse offer an excellent means of exploring the beautiful fields, valleys and hills on a horseback! Should you be interested in crafts, our master carpenter would love to welcome you in his workshops and for those interested in painting & sketching, Theobald Fuchs is offering art classes. We also offer cycling tours with our quality bikes as well as great seasonal offers like truffle hunting! For years we have dedicated ourselves to the preservation of this village, which is very special to us - a place, where traditional and natural concepts are transparent and where there is room for reflection & relaxation. The encounters between guests and local community are not only a cultural enrichment (for all..), it also constitutes a true contribution to the development of this village. Sensitive rural tourism offers a perspective for the young people to remain in their home communities and creates qualified workplaces. In addition to this, we are actively involved though our registered charity to further the education of children and preserving the rich gifts of nature.
