Wine Brunch in a Sparkling Summer (Bucuresti)

Wine Brunch in a Sparkling Summer (Bucuresti)

Hot summer days can sometimes seem overwhelming, which is why we thought it would be great to invite you somewhere in a garden where you can enjoy a relaxing morning with wines and tasty food.

We put all the details together with Băcănia Veche Delicatese & Grădină (Bucuresti) and decided to organize a summer brunch. We've called it "Wine Brunch in a Sparkling Summer" and it's happening on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Come and enjoy a tasty morning chilled with cold wines, suitable for hot summer days. Also, because we love the idea of a bubbly brunch, sparkling wines are on the wine list!

In addition, this time we were joined by the publishing house Baroque Books & Arts, which has been publishing books about wine in the "In Vino Veritas" collection for several years now. Thus, at the brunch on July 23rd, you will have the opportunity to learn a few things about one of the recently published books and one of the people present will have the opportunity to take this book home. Come to the event and maybe you'll be the lucky one to go home with a wine book.

The wines chosen for this tasting
  • Spain: Cava Baldus Reserva, Jane & Santacana
  • Romania: Bendis Rose, Petro Vaselo winery
  • Italy: Soave 2022, Tamellini winery
  • Spain: Coral Rosado 2022, Bodega Inurrieta
  • Romania: Negru de Petro Vaselo, Petro Vaselo winery
For this brunch we have prepared both sparkling and still wines and have included Romanian and international wines in the tasting.

We will start the day with 2 sparkling wines: an authentic cava from Spain made from Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Parellada grapes and a sparkling wine from Romania made from Pinot Noir (made with the prosecco method with fermentation in stainless steel tanks).

We will continue with a fresh white wine from Garganega grapes that comes from the Soave region of Italy, then with a rosé made from Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that come from the Navarra region of Spain, the wine having strong influences from France if we talk about the style of the wine. We haven't forgotten the red wine lovers either, so we'll end the brunch with Negru de Petro Vaselo, a red wine that comes from Petro Vaselo near Timișoara and is made from Fetească Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon.
