Villa Vinea awaits for you every Saturday at the winery
The first pages of Villa Vinèa's story were written in 2004, when Heiner Oberrauch discovered a picturesque place where time seemed to pass much more slowly than in the city world, Valea Târnavelor.
Inspired by the created painting, he had a dream: that of laying the foundation stone of a winery right in the heart of Transylvania. After analyzing the area and its viticultural potential, the Tyrolean entrepreneur did everything in his power to turn his dream into reality and to create a Romanian white wine, which would be remarkable and represent our country with pride, everywhere in world. From that moment, years of work, discipline, investment and, above all, passion followed.
Located in the middle of Romania, on Târnavelor Valley in Mureș county, 25 km from Târgu Mureș, Villa Vinea is one of Romania's one of a kind wineries.
It owns an area of 70 hectares of vines planted with 12 local and international varieties, such as Feteasca Regală, Feteasca Albă, Gewürztraminer, Kerner and Rhein Riesling.
After an investment of almost 2 million euros and a year since the start of the works, Villa Vinea winery has created a new production, storage and warehouse space in the winery, replaced the old bottling and labeling line, expanded the store and created new specially arranged areas for wine tasting both indoor and outdoor.
The winery celebrated the relaunch with a party at the end of May 2024, when the new facilities opened and are now available for visits.

Under the name "Saturday, Wine at the Winery", Villa vinea has 3 fixed hours at which it offers you a tour of the winery accompanied by wine tasting: 11:00, 13:30 and 16:00.
