Crama de Piatra has new accommodation options in Dealu Mare

Located in the village of Vadu Săpat, on the border of Prahova and Buzău counties, Crama de Piatră awaits you with a story that originated more than 100 years ago. The winery was built over the course of three years, between 1909-1912, its completion being done by Italian craftsmen who arrived in the Dealu Mare vineyard, where they made two other wineries.

From the interwar period until 1995, the winery was managed by Cramele Prahova, then there was a 23-year break. In 2018, building rehabilitation works began, the first Crama de Piatră brand wines appeared. The vineyard area is 8 hectares and approximately 30,000 bottles of wine are bottled annually. While the cellar and the production hall were reconsolidated, the old mansion, visibly destroyed, was rebuilt offering today 11 rooms (9 double rooms and 2 apartments), as well as a restaurant that is already well known in Dealu Mare.

Since this spring, in addition to the mansion building, Cramă de Piatră has added to its accommodation facilities two wooden houses, "Stejar & Fag Houses". Each has 2 rooms and two bathrooms.

These cottages are the first of a larger number of cottages intended for accommodation, but for now there is no fixed date when the others will be available. It's a welcome initiative in this wine region that has plenty of wineries to visit, but few accommodations available.

Another novelty of Crama de Piatră is represented by the opening of the event hall with a capacity of 150 people. It was opened in 2023 and already benefits from the organization of events such as team building, conferences, weddings and baptisms. The living room has its own kitchen, sound system and wifi.

In order for your travel experience in Dealu Mare to be a complete one, Crama de Piatră awaits you with its own wines that you can purchase right from the winery and which you can taste in a tasting session that also includes a tour of the winery.
