BIO Wines and Sweet & Aromatic Wine Awards 2023 - Vinul.ro
At the beginning of April 2023, Vinul.ro organized the third edition of the BIO Wines and Sweet & Aromatic wine competition.
Vinul.ro organizes several wine competitions throughout the year, the most famous being the "Vinul.ro Excellence Awards" which takes place in fall, but spring is dedicated to BIO and Sweet & Aromatic wines that are analyzed by specialized commissions.
The judging of the wines took place at the La Mama Ateneu restaurant. The jurors were divided into two commissions, each commission having 6 or 7 representatives. They were:

- Arina Antoce – University Professor at USAMV Bucharest
- Dana Pop – Dr Ing in Food Chemistry and wine importer
- Adrian Dolghin – oenologist at Via Viticola Sarica Niculitel
- Marian Timofti – President of the National Federation of Authorized Tasters
- Sergiu Nedelea – founder of WineTaste.ro
- Liviu Gheorghe – DipWSET, founder of Winebook.ro
- Laura Copil – Wine Bar VINO
- Ovidiu Logigan – Corks Cozy Bar
- Mirela Mateescu – A46 Venue
- Mihai Vasile – VinMagazin.ro
- Costi Drăgan – Sommelier
- Carmina Nițescu – WSET Level 3 Wines Certified, Winesday.ro & Winesday App
- Zoli Toth – conceptual artist, producer of a show on ecology at RFI
50 wines participated in the competition, each commission judging 25 wines and giving scores according to predetermined scales.
The two categories of wines have more and more followers among the public, so the medals obtained are very important. We can consider them as a landmark for wine consumers who are in front of the wine shelf on the store and don't know what to choose. If the wines have medals, it means that those wines have passed through the glasses of several people with wine education and experience who chose to give them those medals. One more reason for those wines to find their place on your table!
Only part of the wines who entered in the competition received medals, there being a self-imposed limit by the organizer: only one third of the wines entered in the competition could receive medals. The wines that received medals are:
