Dealu Mare is the region with the most wineries located on a territory of only a few tens of kilometers. Being part of the wine region Dealurile Olteniei și Munteniei, the Dealu Mare Vineyard is located between Ploiești and Buzău, and if you like wine and haven't discovered this area yet, you'd better plan a trip. At least one for 2-3 days, although you would have something to see even for a week!

Negru de Drăgășani is a grape variety obtained in 1993 by Mărculescu Mircea and Vladasel Mircea at the Drăgășani research center and created from the crossing of two varieties: Negru Vârtos (a Romanian grape variety that is no longer cultivated today) and Saperavi (a variety of native grape from Georgia). Today this variety is cultivated in several wine regions, even if the main place where we find it is in Dragășani. You can also find it in the Dealu Mare vineyard, Dobrogea and Banat.
