Route of Romanian grape varieties / Wine Routes

About

Negru de Drăgășani is a grape variety obtained in 1993 by Mărculescu Mircea and Vladasel Mircea at the Drăgășani research center and created from the crossing of two varieties: Negru Vârtos (a Romanian grape variety that is no longer cultivated today) and Saperavi (a variety of native grape from Georgia).

Today this variety is cultivated in several wine regions, even if the main place where we find it is in Dragășani. You can also find it in the Dealu Mare vineyard, Dobrogea and Banat.
