Italy National Day. Wine tasting at the Museum of Maps (Bucharest)
In the summer of 2022, new wine tastings are coming to the Museum of Maps!
This summer we will meet at the museum to discover new wines in a special place dedicated to history & travel lovers as well as to those curious about wine, at the National Museum of Maps and Old Books.
The next event takes place on June 2nd, 2022, on "Italy National Day".
Date: June 2, 2022
Time: 18:30 - 21:00
Location: National Museum of Maps and Old Books, Str. London no.39, Sector 1 Bucharest. The event takes place in the courtyard of the Museum, the access being made inside the Museum.
Time schedule:
18:30 - 19:00 arrival of participants and individual visit of the Museum
19:00 - 19:30 presentation of the map by the specialized staff of the museum
19:30 - 21:00 tasting of 5 wines, networking

- access to the presentation of the map and the tasting of 5 wines (these will take place outdoors, in the courtyard of the museum)
- water, foccacia from Casa del Pan (specially made for this event)
- individual visit to the Map Museum
- Bonus: you will enjoy some augmented reality work in the new permanent exhibition of the Museum of Maps

The wines presented in the tasting are wines from Italy, made from local varieties, but also from an international variety, Cabernet Franc. The wines are from two wineries, Tamellini and Tenuta Luisa and you will find out their story at the tasting.
And, because I usually come to most tastings with surprises, find out that in this tasting you will discover a surprise wine from a very well-known Italian winemaker. Which you may have heard about, but I won't reveal the secret until the day of the event.

The event is organized by Winesday and the National Museum of Maps and Old Books, in partnership with Casa del Pan, through which the museum promotes its own heritage to the general public. The aim of the event is to bring to the public's attention the old maps and to combine the story of the places with today's wines.
