At a picnic or on the beach: prosecco and gourmet products from Italy

Summer is in full swing, the heat outside and the quiet of the city inspire vacation.

Maybe you're still getting ready to leave or, on the contrary, you've already had your holiday, you returned and your thoughts remained in that destination. So today we come with a proposal that can extend your vacation by 1 day or give to a day off a vacation vibe.

How about a relaxing day...at a picnic? Or, if you're still planning your vacation, a picnic on the beach in the destination of your choice?

Limone.ro, importer of wines and delicacies from Italy, has some suggestions for you that can transform an ordinary day into a delicious one. Whether it's wine, prosecco or gourmet products, at Limone you can find something for the taste of every member of the family.

We spoke with the owners of Limone to find out what's new in their online shop and, because this summer they had many requests for delicious dishes to take to a picnic or to the beach, they recommended a few to us. So today you can find their tasty recommendations among this article.

Thus, if you plan to spend a day in the middle of nature, you can prepare for a picnic or beach starting with this set consisting of a beach towel/pareo, thermos and jute bag (the sets are available in several colors).

Because a prosecco should not be missing from the picnic kit, you could add Prosecco DOC Millesimato 2024 produced by Pietro Toso, a straw-yellow sparkling wine with a fine and persistent mousse. You will discover a fresh prosecco, with aromas of apples, pears and peaches, made from 85% Glera grapes and 15% Chardonnay, Pinot, Verdisio, Perera and Bianchetta.

For the members of the family – who may not drink alcohol – we recommend Cedrata Tassoni, a refreshing drink made from Cedras, one of the oldest types of citrus fruits, related to pomelo and mandarin. Cedras are very large, have a very thick and fragrant peel and the core is not as juicy as lemons. These fruits are used in pastries: candied peels, marmalade, liqueur, syrup and in the drink called cedrata. It is a sweet and sour carbonated drink, light yellow in color, which reproduces the aroma of cedras, from which Tassoni extracts the essential oils to obtain the natural flavor of the drink.

A second non-alcoholic drink option to enjoy at a picnic or on the beach is Crodino – in Italy Crodino is the most consumed non-alcoholic aperitif and is an appetizing mix of flavors obtained from infusions of plants and pieces of fruit, carefully selected. The name Crodino derives from Crodo, a region in northern Piedmont, where it was first bottled in 1964. It was then acquired by the Campari Group in 1995. The Crodino image was relaunched by Campari, and in recent years, Crodino has consolidated its position as the leader in the non-alcoholic aperitif segment in Italy.

The drinks mentioned above will be served cold so the thermos from the beach set can be a great help in keeping them cold. Moreover, if you prefer to be accompanied by soft music at the picnic, you can also choose another type of thermos, the one with an integrated Bluetooth speaker, available in white or black.

Returning to the picnic, in addition to a tasty prosecco, or other drinks, Limone suggests enjoying some tasty bruschetta that can be easily made with Crostini Whole Wheat Toast, Artigiana grilled eggplant, tuna pate with baked peppers Sicilia in Bocca  or tuna pate with oranges Sicilia in Bocca.

The picnic can also be enjoyed with some Belgusto sweet green olives, Taralli pretzels with Fiore olive oil or, for those who love something sweet at the picnic, with Danesi biscuits or Gentilini Osvego chocolate biscuits.

That being said we invite you to discover other sparkling wines, wines and gourmet products in the Limone online shop or in the physical store located in Bucharest. Limone is the sole importer for the products it sells and is constantly looking for producers who make a difference to bring tasty products to your table.
