Festivalul Vinului Moldovenesc returns to Bucharest for the fifth edition
Wine lovers of the wines from the Republic of Moldova have a new reason to celebrate: the fifth edition of the Moldovan Wine Festival (Festivalul Vinului Moldovenesc) has just been announced, an event that will take place on the weekend of September 13-14th, 2025 on Bd. Kiseleff in Bucharest.
45 wineries will be present at the festival, offering over 300 award-winning sparkling and still wines for tasting. It is good to know that all the wineries present at the festival are already present on the Romanian market and that, once you have discovered a wine you like, you will have a place to purchase it in the future.
On September 13 and 14, 2025, Kiseleff Boulevard in Bucharest will transform into a true wine capital. At this edition, renowned producers, experts and wine enthusiasts will meet to explore, taste and celebrate the excellence of wines from across the river Prut, offering visitors a complete and memorable experience. Both traditional wineries from the Republic of Moldova and smaller wineries will gather, ready to present their new limited editions.
This notable presence is linked to the fact that Romania remains the main export market for wines from across the Prut. In 2024, over 10 million liters of Moldovan bottled wine (20% of total bottled wine exports) reached Romania. Over 68 Moldovan wineries are present on the Romanian market. Thus, the festival is not only an opportunity for tasting, but also a celebration of the close bond between the two countries and the shared passion for wine.
“The Moldovan Wine Festival is a story about tradition, passion and innovation. Every year, in Bucharest, we have the opportunity to tell it directly to wine lovers and partners in Romania. This year, for the fifth edition, we come with an impressive number of producers and new experiences that reflect the diversity and excellence of Moldovan wine”, says Ștefan Iamandi, Director of the National Vine and Wine Office of the Republic of Moldova.
The atmosphere will be complemented by live concerts, traditional dance performances and activities for children and families.
Access to the festival is free and those who want to taste wines have the opportunity to purchase tickets in the form of packages of 10 wine tastings. Tickets can be purchased in advance, online, at a preferential rate (70 ron), or on site (90 ron).
