Syrah/Shiraz Tasting: from France, Argentina, Australia and Romania (Bucharest)
2024 comes with new tastings from Winesday Specials series. The first theme this year is the discovery of the Syrah/Shiraz grape variety.
Syrah grape originates in the Northern Rhone in the Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie regions. The same variety is also called Shiraz in the "New World" wine countries and the use of one of the two names actually indicates a winemaking style.
On February 21st, I invite you to discover 5 wines from the Syrah/Shiraz variety and make the difference between the Old World and the New World of wine in the case of these wines. As a common note Syrah/Shiraz is recognized worldwide for its peppery/spicy notes, but the wines have other flavors waiting to be discovered.
For this event, we chose 5 wines from 4 countries: 2 in Romania and 1 each from Argentina, Australia and France. The wine tasting will be done blind. If you have never participated in a blind wine tasting before, you will have a very interesting experience.
On February 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., I will meet you at Băcănia Veche Delicatese & Grădină to try 5 wines of the Syrah/Shiraz variety. The tasting will be accompanied by a delicious food menu (consisting of appetizer and main course) signed by Băcănia Veche Delicatese & Grădină.

The order of the wines will be different and you will discover it on the spot in the blind tasting.

The minimum number of participants to be able to carry out the tasting is 10 people.
