About
Discover an unusual place, called the Museum of Romanian Records®
This place was born from the need to promote Bucharest and Romania, for and by its people. Here we offer you the opportunity to discover forgotten parts of human history which allow us to see the ingenuity of the human mind, through the different levels of its evolution and for the different aspects of life, from practical things, to pleasure and, of course, art.
The Museum of Romanian Records houses several collections, among which we mention here the Corkscrew Collection. This is proof that people really tried to have fun. Since obtaining the record in 2015 the number has continued to grow and the collection now includes over 30,000 corkscrews.
There are many things that can be learned from a simple visit to the collection. Here it can be found that the purpose of the corkscrew was not only to open wine bottles, but also perfume bottles, medicine bottles, small ink pens or even beer or mineral water bottles, when these too were sealed with a cork of cork.
Important: between 23.12.2024 - 12.01.2025 the museum will be closed.
