Bike & Wine in Dealu Mare - Mierla Alba (Dealu Mare)

Dear friends,

We're heading back to Dealu Mare — and this time, we're catching it right at harvest.
Early September is when the vines are heavy with ripe grapes, the air smells of sun-warmed fruit, and the rolling hills of Prahova take on that golden, early-autumn glow you won't see in any other season. If you've ever wondered what wine country looks like right before the grapes come off the vine — this is it.

And we'll be cycling right through the middle of it. 🚲🍷

Saturday, September 12th — join us for one of the most scenic cycling routes in the entire Dealu Mare wine region: roughly 20 km through quiet back roads, winding between vineyards heavy with fruit, with sweeping views toward Tohani and beyond.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Mierla Albă, a small, soulful winery shaped entirely by the vision of its owner and winemaker, Daniel Dorneanu. We'll enjoy a premium tasting paired with local cheeses and cold cuts, along with the stories that only a winemaker can tell — right in the middle of harvest season. We'll also make a short stop at another cellar along the route — because in Dealu Mare, there's always one more reason to slow down.

We meet at 09:30 am at Gura Vadului,Mierla Alba Winery, just 1 hour 15 minutes from Bucharest.
